From 'Angry':-
I AM a resident of the Tranmere area and think that it is a disgrace to see how some local children are allowed to get away with what ever they want to do.
Last week, my wife and I witnessed, and challenged, a group of youths who were 'stoning' an elderly lady.
Children also seem to be free to dump all kinds of rubbish everywhere around the area, light fires and throw stones at houses. Tranmere is becoming a black spot and a disgrace.
I think the parents of these children should take more responsibility and if they are not prepared to do so, should be fined, as it seems that the police are powerless to charge the children themselves.
