BOYS at Wirral Grammar School have an excellent set of results at GCSE level with 98 per cent of pupils gaining at least 5 A*-C grades. The average points per candidates was 6.2 (equivalent to a grade B); 15 per cent of all subject entries were awarded an A* grade, 27 per cent were at grade A, 34 per cent at grade B and 20 per cent at C. Michael Arch, of Raby Mere, and Nathan Jenkins, from Claughton, gained A* in each of the 10 GCSEs they sat.
In addition, a further 13 pupils gained A* or A grades in each of the 10 subjects they took. They are Andrew O'Brien, Andrew Scholefield, Martin Gilmour, Graeme Blair, Andrew Jackson, Michael Stott, David Anderson, Andrew Carridge, Matthew Mawdsley, Matthew Jones, Steven Coulter, Vivek Paul and Samuel Ng.
