Going over the top for charity
FORMER Miss Wirral Globe Donna Hurren, of Heswall, is preparing to abseil down Wallasey Town Hall for the Anthony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust.
Supporting her is another brave young woman, teenage transplant patient Hayley Price, of Birkenhead, who has just started at Birkenhead Sixth Form College and hopes to go to university.
For years she has been battling bravely against childhood illness and has had several bone marrow transplants. Hayley, 16, has just won a Child of Achievement Award for her determination to live 'a normal life'.
Donna Hurren, area manager for the Anthony Nolan Bone Trust, admits the abseil will be the bravest thing she has done in her life when it happens on Sunday, October 3.
Have you the guts to go over the top with her for charity? If you want to have a go or do your bit for the charity while keeping your feet firmly on the ground by sponsoring Donna, ring 637-1233 or 01423-879-510.
