Wirral company DMS has secured a prestigious extension to its Investors in People (IIP) status.

The business, now one of the UK's leading independent sales and marketing organisations, first secured IIP accreditation in 1996.

Founded in 1990 DMS (Direct Marketing Support) provides sales and marketing expertise from its operations centre at Wirral Business Park.

The company's growing client base includes Total Oil Great Britain, Bradford & Bingley, Bank of Scotland, Siemens and Pilkington.

The IIP assessor selected 20 of the 130 staff members and stopped after seeing 17 people. "It became clear that their people systems were fully embedded so I decided to stop," the report explains.

The report goes on to praise the commitment of the DMS directors to the training and development of staff.

Welcoming this latest success DMS founder and Managing Director John Fogg said: "I'm delighted that we've been successful with this reassessment. It is a tribute to the efforts of every member of the DMS team and will provide us with a springboard for further growth and success into the new Millennium."
