BEBINGTON karting ace Carl Hulme (pictured below, left, in kart no 6) has enjoyed a successful season, and is currently lying fourth in the British Kart Racing Championships.
Carl's last event was very eventful, winning the Gold Cup meeting at Three Sisters International race track in Wigan.
Despite the damp conditions with zero visibility there was some great racing. Wirral driver Dougal Charlton made a great start but disaster struck when he received the black flag and mechanical problems ended his race.
Carl Hulme had qualified sixth on the grid and after a good start was third. A brilliant piece of driving on the first corner saw Carl take the lead and he went on to win and was a whisker away from claiming the fastest lap trophy.
As the season reaches its finale, Carl would like to thank the Wirral Globe for publicity, and sponsors Village Hotel, Bromborough, and Parkgate Horse Trials.
