Leading Cadet Emily Jones, aged 16, and Able Cadet Ben Cliff, also 16, competed in the Open Bosun dinghy class and did well to support the North Western team with some creditable placings. Able Cadet Sam Reaney, aged 14, competing in the Senior Topper class, won an individual bronze medal, securing the overall Senior Topper title for the North West team. Able Cadet Huw Jones, aged 14, competing in the Junior Topper class, won two individual silver medals, helping the North West to win the overall title. The North West Area cadets secured a total of 10 medals and two major trophies.
