ROADWORKS at Taylor Street, Birkenhead, have been extended by up to two weeks. The street is currently closed to through traffic to enable tram lines to be laid into the new tram depot and revamped transport museum near the Old Colonial public house. The work was scheduled to finish on October 11, but due to unforeseen difficulties will now take longer than expected and the closure has been extended until Monday, October 25.
