A WOMAN motorist who collided with a refuse wagon at Heswall was over double the alcohol level, Wirral magistrates heard.
Pamela Tucker, 52, of Moorfield Drive, Parkgate, admitted drink driving and lost her licence for two years. She was fined £350.
Stuart Rae, defending, said it was a one off occasion. Mrs Tucker had been enormously distressed after the death of her mother.
She told police she had consumed cider, but Mr Rae said she was shocked at the reading given by the breath test.
