From Ricky Dollow:-

I MUST respond to the letter regarding the r-and-b festival in Vale Park (Mailbox, September 29).

I don't understand the upset caused by the concert, but I do respect Mr Burley's view and I hope there will be another concert next year in our beautiful Vale Park.

I find that sections of the community in Wallasey are becoming increasingly intolerant to others. Can we not find some middle ground at least? Wallasey, and especially the area surrounding Vale Park, is peaceful for most, nearly all of the year. Is one weekend of music, life, and laughter really so painful?

Wallasey is a living town, not a museum. People need to have activities of all types for this town to be a complete and fully rounded community. There is almost no work left in this area - is there to be no leisure either?

Ash Grove, Wallasey.
