TRANMERE returned to the bottom of the Nationwide League Division One after a game Rovers manager John Aldridge felt his side dominated without ever getting their just reward.
Rangers took the lead as early as the third minute. Graham Allen was caught out down the left, Gavin Peacock's cross was only half cleared by 'keeper John Achterberg - and Rob Steiner headed into the empty net.
Once again, Tranmere's bright spark was Republic of Ireland Under-21 international midfielder Alan Mahon, and it was from his cross that defender Clint Hill powered home a 54th minute header for the equaliser.
Scott Taylor missed a couple of good chances, and QPR even lost their goalkeeper, Lee Harper, stretchered off with a back injury.
However, the London club found the winning goal when more confusion in the Tranmere defence allowed former Newcastle and Chelsea star Peacock to pounce.
Tranmere: Achterberg, Allen (sub: Parkinson, 45 mins), Roberts, Yates, Challinor, Hill, Mahon, Grant, Allison, Taylor (sub: L. Jones, 77 mins), Henry.
