From Mr T. Evans:-

REGARDING the court cases of the people prosecuted for their dogs fouling pavements, although I do not condone this offence I find it very strange that in the four cases you have printed in your newspaper all have been women - and one of them a pensioner. Do men not walk dogs anymore?

Or is it, maybe, that some of the men are over six feet, well built and walking a big dog? Maybe the dog warden turns a blind eye to these offenders?

Also, I find it amazing that the coverage of these prosecutions are splashed all over the local newspapers. These people are not criminals and yet they had their names and addresses printed.

People are in court every day of the week for more serious offences like shoplifting, burglary and crimes relating to drink or drugs. It's these people who should be ridiculed in the papers.
