WIRRAL Action is planning to celebrate its 25th anniversary with a special event at Pacific Road tram sheds and museum, Woodside, on Friday, November 26.

The an independent voluntary organisation - whose primary aim is to involve young people in volunteering in the community - was founded in 1974 by a group of businessmen with a keen interest in the welfare of young people.

Their aim was to provide social and informal education by enabling young people to gain real experiences in the community.

And in commemoration of the past 25 years, the event aims to promote the environmental and youth and community work that Wirral Action is involved in.

It will start with a bang at 8.30pm, with fireworks and carnival music to be followed by live entertainment, an audio visual documentary and presentation of a commissioned art piece to commemorate the anniversary.
