TALKS are set to get underway this afternoon (Wednesday) to prevent a strike of Wirral bus drivers on Friday.
Drivers at the First Crosville Birkenhead depot were due to take industrial action after disputes over pay and conditions.
A spokesperson for the company said: "The trade union have suspended industrial action and drivers resumed normal working to facilitate a meeting between trade union, ACAS and management to discuss the dispute."
Services affected should the action go ahead will be: 1,2,16/17, 41, 41A, 41D, 141, 71 and 72.
