NINE hundred temporary distribution jobs are being created in Birkenhead.
Link Direct, a Birkenhead-based distribution company, say the jobs exist specifically to service the recently awarded Yellow Pages contract.
"We will be concentrating our efforts on the directory for Chester and North Wales in October, then, in November, our sights will be set on the Wirral and Chester directory," said Managing Director Chris Roxburgh.
The Yellow Pages contract, along with expansion of the company's leaflets division, has resulted in a doubling of permanent staff at the five-year-old company's HQ.
