A MERSEYSIDE man has won a piece of the pie after a year of big chances.

Local pie delivery man Malcolm Gordon, aged 52, is celebrating after winning £1,500 on the Big Chance Lottery charity draw which helps local kids and good causes.

Malcolm, from Maghull, scooped the cash prize from a 'Match 4' ticket bought in Seacombe and says he plans to treat his wife and daughter to something special with the surprise extra money.

Lottery Organiser Charlie Harbourne told Globe:"I am absolutely delighted for Malcolm and appreciate the support he has shown us. In the past year, Big Chance Lottery generated over £100,000 for charity in 1999 and hopes to generate more than £1 million in 2000.

"Everyone who plays Big Chance Lottery is helping us to reach that target so that we can help even more local kids and good causes."
