'Carwatch' will start today with advice on purchasing security products and continue with details of how you can keep your cars secure.
Our campaign has the full support of Wirral's three crime prevention officers - and they will be offering advice and guidance for vehicle owners.
Over the coming months we will also be bringing readers reports of which areas are 'hot spots' for car thefts or thefts from cars - backed up by a 'name and shame' list of offenders who have been convicted for car related crime.
Working with the Wirral public we hope that our 'Carwatch' campaign will help police reach their target of cutting car crime figures in Wirral by more than 20 per cent at the same time as making the borough a safe and secure place for car owners.
