A MEETING to discuss the planned restoration of Birkenhead Park will be held on Saturday morning.
It will give local people a chance to look at Wirral Council's plans for spending grant money awarded awarded to the park last year from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
It is hoped to return to the park to the glory days of Sir Joseph Paxton's original design including everything from restoring the drainage system to replacing bridges, paths, railings and planting. Work is also set to include a new visitor centre.
The informal public meeting will take place on Saturday at Birkenhead Park Cricket Club at 11.30am.
