I WRITE with reference to Geoff Morris' letter about Euro Loons (Globe, January 10). I wish that I could agree with him when he says we could manage without the loons of Europe.

Sadly, owing to the continual mismanagement of our great industries, the loons have had to come and manage them for us, and they have had to purchase some industries because there was no money left in the kitty to pay the wages of the workers.

The loons of Japan have been very kind; they have come and started great factories that supply all of Europe with cars and electrical equipment. The WW loons of Germany have saved the failing Rolls Royce car factory, keeping at least some of our lost self-respect.

We must not forget the loons of France who are taking over some of our public utilities, such as Waste Management and water, and also making excellent cars in an old bankrupt British company. I do hope that the French loons will soon take over our railways and make them run again.
