Widnes Rugby Union
Swansea & District u13 0 Lancashire u13 0
FOUR of the Widnes u13 team, Alan Carr, Jack Cosgrove, Kev Farrow and Andy White, made their Lancashire debuts in South Wales at the weekend.
In this titanic battle, between two well-matched sides, defences dominated and neither side created too many genuine scoring chances.
Despite the scoreline, the game was very entertaining but also totally nail-biting for the large following of family and friends who made the long journey south.
The four Wids lads gave an excellent account of themselves and both coaches named vice captain Andy White, Lancashire's Man of the Match.
This game has wet their appetite for county rugby and they are looking forward to the next fixture against Oxfordshire at Liverpool Collegiate RUFC on Sunday, February 4.
