A CUP tie that produces 16 goals is either a total annihilation or a thriller - and the clash between Royal Liver and Exmouth in the Birkenhead Saturday Football League Robert Moore, Nicolas, Jones Cup was most definitely a nail-biter!
Exmouth thought the game was over by half-time after goals from Terry Cotsgrave, 2, and a Tony Jones hat-trick had put them 5-0 ahead.
But Royal Liver went into overdrive in the second-half and pulled back to 5-4 through Andy Brookshaw, 2, and Andy Wilkins, 2.

In the other ties, Seven Stiles Youth gained revenge on The Clipper with a fine 4-3 win after extra-time. Jason Stenhouse
