I WRITE in response to the Letter of the Week (Readers' Mail, September 5) regarding the state of Moreton.
I travel daily to Liverpool from Moreton Station and the smell is sickening. The bridge and both staircases are awash with urine. The station is never cleaned.
The same day that I read the letter there was an article in the evening paper saying that £6 million is going to be spent on Liverpool and Birkenhead stations to improve conditions and make them more pleasant for people to travel by train.
Once again, Moreton is left out.
Moreton is literally 'going down the toilet'.
P. Smith, Moreton.
