I WAS interested in the article (Globe, September 12) concerning obscene material on CDs.

Several months ago, I brought this to the attention of all the local supermarkets and a well known record store, but they would not do anything about the selling of this type of material.

I suppose profit comes first and protection of young people doesn't compete. Birkenhead MP Frank Field has informed me that these so-called artists could put anything they like on a CD as there is no censoring, unlike videos.

Parents are unaware what obscenities are contained in these songs. Eminem has made a good living out of corrupting young people's minds and now any talentless moron can follow his wonderful example.
