MEMBERS of the Wirral Taekwondo clubs after picking up a haul of awards in two competitions.
At the British Taekwondo Council Championships in Kettering, members came away with 15 trophies, including three gold medals.
These were won by Michael Orford, Katherine Tryer and Christopher Bunn.
Other students who picked up medals were Melanie Ashton, Colin Parry, Peggy Flood, Paul Blanthorne, George Grieve, Amy Truesdale, Kim Hardcastle and club instructor Richard Saunders.
Several members travelled to Cheltenham to compete in the World United Martial Arts Association Summer Open competition - and came away with seven awards.
Mark Harol, of Chester, became middleweight champion.
The Wirral clubs are now preparing for the Scottish Championships in Glasgow, as well as the Junior European Championships and the Dutch Open Championships in Delft, Holland.
