THIS weekend sees the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' first ever radio interview - which was on Clatterbridge Hospital Radio.
Radio Clatterbridge is to mark this important event in international music history by playing the original interview again in a special live broadcast.
The interview, with Monty Lister, marked a visit by the Fab Four to play at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight, just weeks after Ringo Starr joined the band. In it, Paul remarks that John is the leader of the band and Ringo talks about recording Love Me Do.
Monty Lister, now a presenter on BBC Radio Merseyside, will join former Beatles' managers Alan Williams and Sam Leach to discuss the interview.
The interview will be broadcast at 8pm on Sunday.
