I MUST agree with Graham Mitchell, of Higher Bebington (Letter of the Week, Mail Box, December 4).

As an ex-nurse who trained and worked at Clatterbridge for a number of years, the hospital's main gate and drive area is a disgrace.

In my day, the flower beds that decorated the main drive, plus other hospital areas, were always beautifully maintained. The gardeners of my day would be horrified if they saw the state of it today, overgrown and left to decay.

There have been rumours in recent years that a hotel or houses were to be built. Anyone heard of the true use of the land, as Wirral people would love to hear of it?
