I THINK I have had a rather good idea. How would the people of Merseyside like to join together and create a lasting artistic monument that could grace the docks or the city centre?
"Made with what?" I hear you ask. Worry not, I have thought of the perfect medium.
It is weatherproof, durable and of low maintenance. It can be drilled, filed, moulded, painted and re-sculptured when desired and would be a shining example of recycling to residents and visitors alike. I know you are all longing to hear what this marvellous product could be. Wait for it! It is . . . used chewing gum!
Perhaps a dignitary could lay the first piece and in no time at all it would dominate the skyline.
Just think, at last, all the gum that dots around Merseyside will have some use, after all.
So come on everyone, do your bit, get stuck in. Get chewing!
