WHEN Peter Mandelson told New Labour that "We're all Thatcherites now", he wasn't joking.
First, our Council forced through taxi de-regulation, now its cuts in jobs and services with their disgusting proposal to close all public toilets in the borough. The only Tory policy they haven't pinched is cutting taxes.
If the Council is so strapped for cash, why didn't our councillors say so when they voted themselves a hefty rise in expenses last year?
