OH how I agree with your reader (Mailbox, April 6)! Taxi drivers think they're above the law, and hurl abuse at anyone who questions them.

Roundabouts are my big issue. All traffic must give way to vehicles approaching from the right, so why have I had at least 10 near misses from taxis that forced me to stop for them (self-preservation!) when I was already on the roundabouts, with right of way?

Spend a while at the roundabouts by Birkenhead Market and see what I mean.
