TRIES by Tom Mapp, 2, and Steve Dean and three Anthony Birley conversions saw Wirral's premier rugby club, New Brighton, to a 21-8 victory over Darlington in National League Three North.
In Powergen North Division One, Birkenhead Park consigned Vale of Lune to relegation with a 26-23 away win. Park's try scorers were Ian Kennedy, 2, Steven Dodd and Marc Harris, while Alex Davis kicked two penalties.
Meanwhile, in Powergen North Division Two West, Caldy overcame Oldham 42-43 at Paton Field and now go into their final game of the season at Fleetwood in two weeks' time looking for a significant victory to secure their second title winning promotion in three years.
Saturday's tries came from Chris McGlory, Loa Tupou, 2, John Close, Peter Wallace and Liam Devaney, 2. Marcus Coast added two conversions and a penalty.
On Saturday, New Brighton travel to Blaydon, but it's a blank weekend for Birkenhead Park and Caldy.
