TRANMERE Rovers boss Les Parry is celebrating his side's first away win under his rule.

Ian Thomas-Moore secured the three points in the 68th minute after latching on to the rebound of a Craig Curran shot that hit the woodwork.

"It was our first away win under me and it's great, especially after the defeat by Oldham on Saturday," said Parry.

"That was a disappointing performance but for the lads to come here and perform like that and thoroughly deserve their win is brilliant.

"I thought in the first half Gillingham had a lot of movement in front of us but we never got sucked out.

"We had four or five chances where their keeper has made some great saves.

"I thought this was going to be one of those nights and it was going to end 0-0 or they would sneak a goal.

"It took a while for the ball to go in - but luckily Ian finished it."
