Traffic disruption expected after water main bursts in Meols
HERON Road in Meols has been closed off after a water main burst today.
Maintenance workers shut off the road at 4pm today to begin emergency repair work.
The road will remain closed until further notice.
Heron Road is now closed from its junction with Birkenhead Road to its junction with Pump Lane.
Traffic will be diverted via Saughall Massie Bypass, West Kirby Road, Saughall Road, Birkenhead Road and vice versa.
A council spokeswoman said several measures will be undertaken to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.
Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times.
