A 45-year-old man made a brief appearance at Wirral Magistrates Court today following a stabbing death at Seacombe on Friday afternoon.
Martin Peters, of Briardale Road, Seacombe, was charged with the murder of 38-year-old father of two John Boyd at Birkenhead Road, Seacombe.
Peters spoke only to confirm his identity.
His solicitor John Weate did not apply for bail.
District Judge Nick Saunders transferred the case to the Crown Court.
Peters was remanded in custody to appear before a judge at the higher court on December 17.
Reporting restrictions were not lifted.
The public gallery was packed for the two minute hearing hearing.
