TRAFFIC using the M53 Southbound is being diverted following an accident this afternoon.
Cheshire police were called to a report of a road traffic collision, which occurred just before 2pm at Junction 7 (B5132) and led to an oil spill.
Lane one was originally closed Chester bound, due to the accident on the entry slip road, but a full closure is now in place. A clear-up operation is in place.
Traffic is being turned and taken back to J5, then down the A41 southbound to join the A5117 and M56.
