ACTRESS and television presenter Denise Welch has met the first users of a new facility at Arrowe Park Hospital.
The Loose Women presenter, and actor husband Tim Healy, met families moving into Ronald McDonald House on Saturday morning.
The £850,000, seven-unit provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for families of children being treated at Arrowe Park.
It sleeps 28 people at a time and is designed to help parents, grand parents, siblings, and foster parents.
Many children have to travel long distances to be treated at the hospital, so Ronald McDonald House will allow parents to stay close by and provide important emotional support during their child's stay.
There is also a Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.
