A SECURITY guard at Primark's Liscard outlet was stabbed in the back by an assailant this morning.
Eyewitnesses told the Globe that the store was closed immediately after the incident, which happened at around 11am.
One shopowner told the Wirral Globe: "I didn't know anything about it, until I went to the bank and saw the police cars outside the building.
"It's scary to think that someone could just go into a shop and do this."
Police are investigating. The condition of the security guard is not yet known.
More later.
