WIRRAL West MP Stephen Hesford MP has opened an advice centre for people with Fibromyalgia.
Situated at the Champions Business Park in Arrowe Park, provides unique one-to-one and helpline support for Fibromyalgia sufferers across Merseyside and Wirral.
It further complements the work of the Fibromyalgia support group which already offers monthly meetings with expert speakers, complementary therapy for members, access to exercise and reduced rate gym membership.
Mr Hesford has supported the group since it was founded in 2001 and is a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Fibromyalgia.
The new office will be run by Merseyside & Wirral Fibromyalgia Group leader Sue Strafford-Binks, who works tirelessly to raise awareness and support sufferers of the condition but is in need of healthy volunteers as most volunteers are sufferers themselves and so find it difficult.
Mr Hesford said: "It was a great pleasure to welcome the North West Regional Office to my constituency and I wish them continued success.
"Having worked with Sue and her team over a number of years, I know what a vital service they provide locally for the growing number of people diagnosed with this chronic condition."
