MEET Mabel, who is looking for the perfect home.

The one-year-old Beagle, currently being looked after at Dogs Trust, is described as having 'lots of energy and so would suit a home with people who are happy to be on the go'.

She walks beautifully on the lead and is more than happy to play with four-legged friends, so the team at Dogs Trust Merseyside say she could live with another dog who is as enthusiastic about life as she is.

Plus, as she is so friendly, she could live with children over the age of ten who are comfortable being around boisterous dogs.

Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Mabel is a very sweet girl and really friendly.

"She will thrive in a home that is happy to make sure she has lots of mental as well as physical stimulation to keep her young brain, and Beagle nose, occupied and therefore happy."

Mabel is described as a very clever dog so her adventurous nature will mean she needs a secure garden with gates she can’t open and fencing she can’t jump!

She cannot live with any cats or other small furry animals and would like someone to be at home with her for most of the time as she is not used to being left home alone.

Mabel is less confident around men so would like to meet her new family a few times before heading home.
