STAFF and students at a Wirral high school had cause for celebration following a recent visit from OFSTED inspectors.
Ridgeway High School in Prenton was rated ‘Good’ in all areas following a two-day inspection at the end of January.
It was judged on quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management.
The school provides education for 901 pupils.
Headteacher Gavin Sterry, described the rating as "an important milestone on the school's ongoing journey of improvement and development – another sign that we are on the right track".
Comments made by inspectors in their report included: "The school has a strong sense of community which helps pupils to feel happy and safe."
"The school has high aspirations for all pupils. It expects pupils to flourish both academically and socially."
