You may have seen Ed Byrne from popular TV panel shows such as ‘Mock the Week,’ but with his new tour “Tragedy plus Time,’ he takes to the stage with his comedy and the result is comedic brilliance.

Ed Byrne presents a bitter-sweet performance, which begins Byrne telling the audience about the darkest joke he ever made. It is centred around the death of his brother, Paul, which clearly isn’t a funny topic however Byrne manages to put a humorous spin on his final interactions with his brother, making the audience wheeze with laughter.

He masterfully creates full circle moments within the performance, which evidently shows his comedic intelligence, and his comedic timing is excellent, which makes his jokes even more effective and hilarious.

I would recommend this show, and while Ed discusses his four stars from the Guardian in his show, it is definitely worth five stars from me!
