MEET our dog of the week, Bruno, who needs your help to find a new home.

The seven-year-old Rottweiler is currently a resident at Dogs Trust Merseyside and described by staff at the rehoming centre as a 'sweet, friendly boy'. He is said to arrived at the rehoming centre without any history but has settled in.

Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Everybody here is talking about Bruno. He is so lovely. He loves a neck scratch and is always happy to see people.

"He is really smart too so loves learning new things and already knows all the basics.

"He would like to be the only dog in the home but he can live with a family that have children aged twelve and over, so we are really hoping that he finds the forever home he deserves, very soon."

Bruno walks beautifully on the lead and although he isn’t overly confident with other dogs, he has walked alongside calm dogs at the centre so as he settles into his new home it would be good for him to have some laidback canine companions when he’s on his walks.

Bruno is playful, loves a game of tug with his rope toys and a game of fetch too.

As the team don’t know anything about his previous home life, they would like his new owners to be around most of the time to help him settle in.
