WIRRAL musician Mandi Fisher has spoken about her sell-out shows, handling grief, and achieving her dreams.

Mandi, 31 from Leasowe, announced last year that she would be performing at the Grosvenor Ballroom in Wallasey on the first stop of her tour.

The live performance and meet and greet, which will take place on Saturday, February 10, sold out however due to the demand the venue has since released more tickets.

Mandi told the Globe: “I’ve built up a good following but you still have that thought of if tickets will even sell and if people will come and see you so I couldn’t believe it when I heard it had sold out.

“We’ve managed to hire more tables so there’s a few extra tickets available for people who have been asking.”

The venue will now see a 180 capacity show with another tour date booked for Mother’s Day in March.

Mandi, mum of three, said: “It feels amazing. I’m so grateful.

“My dad died during Covid in 2020 and my mum died in 2016 from cancer and music was always our thing.

“Throughout my life my parents have dedicated their lives to my music, especially my dad he went everywhere with me even though he was elderly if I had a show he was right there at the front.

“He used to dream of me having my own shows so when he died, I thought would I ever be okay again to sing or would I be too hurt?

“But if anything the fact that he routed for me so much has made me go even further it makes me want to grow my following even more and release new music and do these shows as if he is still here so it just means the world that people would go out their way to watch me sing when they could go out and see any singer.

Following the success of her music career, Mandi hopes to inspires others to follow their dreams.

She said: “I’m just glad that my music is helping people a lot of the stuff I write and sing about is about grief and getting through hard times and keeping positive so a lot of people who come to me have been through sad times so they come and listen to my music.

“After many losses and things that could have stopped the progress of my music journey, I want to show that a regular mum from the Wirral can set goals and achieve dreams too and inspire others to go for theirs too.

“I my life was going to just be grief and now I'm doing something I’ve always dreamed of doing.”
