MEET our dog of the week Rosie, who is looking for 'a laidback home with cuddles and a comfy bed'.

The nine-year-old bulldog is currently being looked after at Dogs Trust Merseyside.

According to staff at the rehoming charity, she adores company and when taking a stroll she laps up all the attention she gets, which is said to be a lot.

‘Short and slow’ is the name of the game when it comes to her walks but she thoroughly enjoys them and likes to take in her surroundings.

She has no interest in other dogs and prefers them to keep their distance, but the team at Dogs Trust Merseyside say it would be nice for her to have calm walking buddies when she’s in her forever home.

Georgina Lowery, the centre's manager, said: "Rosie is a lovely, placid girl who loves her home comforts, and we are confident she will settle into a new home very quickly.

"She came to us due to a change in her owner’s circumstances which meant they couldn’t give her the time and attention they knew she deserved.

"She loves to snuggle up with people and is happy to have some home alone time.

“She spends quite a lot of time behind our reception desk and loves to do as much meeting and greeting as possible as she is so friendly."
