MEET our dog of the week, Bear, who needs your help to find a forever home.

The seven-year-old Crossbreed, has found himself back at Dogs Trust Merseyside after a change in his owner’s circumstances.

He is described by staff at the charity's rehoming centre as 'a handsome chap' and 'people lover who adores relaxing with his human pals and enjoying a laid-back lifestyle'.

He is said to thoroughly enjoy his walks and sometimes his enthusiasm gets the better of him, so he does pull on the lead, but with a few tasty treats to hand it is easy to catch his attention and he will stay close by your side.

Georgina Lowery, manager at Dogs Trust Merseyside, said: "Bear arrived with us just over a month ago and we have all got a soft spot for him.

"His coat is beautiful, and he enjoys having it brushed, and basically loves any attention from people, so he’s a joy to be around."

Bear is said to react to dogs so he will need to be the only pet in the home, but he can live with children aged eight and over.

The Dogs Trust Merseyside team say due to his tendency to pull on the lead, Bear would need to be walked by adults.

Once he’s had a nice walk, Bear is happy to relax at home alone for a couple of hours but will always be ready and waiting to welcome his family home.
