A WIRRAL dance school is "bigger and better than ever before" after celebrating the grand opening of a new studio.

The Victoria Academy of Dance School, whose dancers range from ages 5-16, delivers classes from their purpose-built studios in Brombrough.

They run classes in contemporary, jazz, tap, ballet, commercial, and more.

On Monday (October 30) dance teachers and students celebrated the opening of their brand new studio, Studio 3.

Studio 3 will be the host of regular industry professional workshops and will be the first dance school on the Wirral to offer Aerial Skills and Hoops classes.

Vicky Carney, principal of the dance school, said: "This has been an absolute labour of love but I feel so emotional and humbled at how the parents and students of TVA have shown such love and community by getting involved and helping to finish the project.

"We've had IKEA building and paint parties galore.

"Since the pandemic, it's been tough trying to rebuild all that was lost, with dance schools popping up on every corner, it has been an uphill struggle to say the least.

"We are made of strong stuff though and it feels like we have arrived, bigger and better than ever before.

"Excited is an understatement."
