POLICE were called to a street in Birkenhead after a man suffered a “medical episode”.
Just before 11.30am on Sunday (October 22) Merseyside Police, North West Ambulance Service and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a man suffering a medical episode while on a rooftop on Devonshire Road, Birkenhead.
The man was taken to hospital.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service told the Globe: "We were called to an incident involving a patient who suffered a medical incident at a height.
"Our Hazardous Area Response Team attended along with an operational commander, senior paramedic and two ambulances.
"The patient was brought down from the roof with the assistance of the fire service and taken to hospital."
