A drop-in session to find out more about Birkenhead Park's bid for UNESCO World Heritage Site status will take place next week.

Last month the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport announced that the iconic park would be included on the UK Tentative List for potential nomination for inscription on the World Heritage List.

While inclusion on the Tentative List does not guarantee a site will progress to be nominated to UNESCO, Birkenhead Park’s inclusion on the Tentative List is still seen as a significant step closer to that goal.

Drop-in sessions to find out more about the bid for status will take place at Birkenhead Park, Visitor Centre’s Gallery Space a week on Thursday (June 1) from 4pm–7pm.

The park’s team will help you understand more about their ambitions, and what it may mean for the park, its visitors and its neighbours and local communities.
