RESIDENTS at an Upton care home have shared some pieces advice for King Charles III ahead of his coronation tomorrow (May 6).

Ahead of the coronation celebrations, residents at The Manor House Bupa Care Home have shared their worldly wisdom to help the new monarch settle into his new role.

92-year-old resident Judith, encouraged the new monarch to "stick to his guns".

Similarly, 90-year-old Angela shared advice on dealing with public duties, advising King Charles to "make sure you do well with people", and Sheila, aged 87, notes that it’s the little gestures that count, with a reminder to "share your biscuits".

While Louise, 62, shared the advice: "Please, for the sake of Camilla, take a day off once a week."

Many residents at The Manor House Bupa Care Home would use their royal powers to enjoy a bit of relaxation, including Anne, 77, who says she’d simply "sit on my throne all day".

John, aged 76, would use his royal status to "try and make everyone happy", while Sylvester, 82, would "turn the world upside down".

Dilys, 95, decided she would prefer a well-earned rest, saying: "I would do nothing".

Overall, residents think the new King will do a stand-up job, with Ann, 85, having the final say as she said: "I already think you’re a pro".

Preparations for the coronation are well underway at Bupa care homes, with homes organising events for residents, their loved ones and special guests to enjoy, including afternoon teas, live music performances, street parties, arts and crafts, quiche making and bingo.
