Phoenix Shooters Association recently held an auction of items donated by members to raise money to complete the indoor range they're constructing.
They hoped to raise around five or six hundred pounds - but the total of just over two Thousand Pounds took them totally by suprise.
Mary Eveleigh - the Secretary of Phoenix said, "
The generosity of our members has been completely overwhelming. The items they gave so freely for auction, the bids they made, and the work they put into the auction means that we can continue work on the range. We really do have the best set of members any club could wish for."
The auctioneer was Mark Cokayne from Promatic Traps - who entertained the "audience" extremely well - and was held at the Wirrallians Rugby Club, with the food provided by "Rugby Grub" - and Phoenix would like to thank them for their excellent hospitality and service.
