BIRKENHEAD Park received a bye in the National Intermediate Cup and did not play last week.
This Saturday, Park are at home to Sheffield Tigers in a North 1 match, kick-off 3pm at the Upper Park.The match will be followed by the screening in the clubhouse of the England-South Africa World Cup Final.Meanwhile, Park Wanderers lost 6-22 at Macclesfield in the Bateman BMW Premiership, but put up a good fight before going down.It is hoped that England's World Cup campaign will inspire a new generation of young players to the game. Park have launched a new under-16 side and are also looking to recruit under-14 and under-11s.
New players should report to the club on Sunday morning at 10am.
