WIRRAL Clinical Commissioning Group's annual meeting takes place next week.

Held at The Lauries in Claughton Road, Birkenhead next Tuesday (September 18) from 2pm-4pm the session is open to the public.

It will be a chance to find out how the organisation has used NHS budgets to deliver better healthcare services across Wirral.

Wirral CCG is responsible for the planning, designing and buying of most NHS services for Wirral, including the care people receive in hospital and in community clinics. The process is known as commissioning.

From 1.15pm, people can also spend time at individual stalls talking to CCG teams about their commissioning work, and meet other local organisations.

The meeting will be a chance to showcase the work that the CCG has done over the past twelve months and to hear about its plans for the future.

Attendees will also hear from clinical chair, Dr Sue Wells, as well as the executive team who will provide an update on the overall work of the CCG.

Dr Wells said: "We would like to see as many people as possible at our AGM.

"Our AGM is an opportunity to find out how we serve the people of Wirral and learn about the ways in which we are designing services to get the best healthcare possible.

"We look forward to seeing you there."

Everyone is welcome, but to gain an idea of numbers people are asked to register via the NHS Wirral CCG website https://www.wirralccg.nhs.uk/ or email WICCG.InTouch@nhs.net
